Sandblasted refers to the finish obtained by sandblasting the glass with sand, which gives it this naturally opaque/matte finish.
Sandblasting is also known as rough sanding: the process of forcing a stream of harsh material against a surface. It is done under high pressure to smooth a harsh/rough surface or to give it proper shape to remove its contaminants or residues. There are several variants of sandblasting, such as shot blasting, micro-blasting, and soding.
