Under current Washington State cannabis/marijuana laws, cannabis is both recreational and medicinal legal for patients, consumers, and adults over 18 years as well as has established an authoritarian arrangement for the state’s cannabis industry, creating a structure for the cannabis production and sale of cannabis for adult-use.

All cannabis legal resources fall under the jurisdiction of the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board.

In 2015, the state legalized recreational cannabis, the Washington Legislative Assembly passed the law, the Cannabis Patient Protection Act (CPPA), establishing formal state regulations for businesses local cannabis, which involves the production, distribution, possession, and consumption of adult cannabis seeds, flowers, buds, plants, or other products throughout Washington State.
