Edibles

Edibles are any ingestible product that have been infused with some form of cannabis. These are usually foods, candies, pastries or baked goods, in addition to drinks. Cannabis dispensaries also often sell oils and butters infused with cannabis for patients or consumers to make their own edible products.

The consumption of edible products means that the active components of the extracts require a longer period to take effect because they must be absorbed by the digestive system. As they are slow acting and the effects are long in duration, edibles are often used for relieving pain overnight and are great as a sleeping tonic.
