Who is Bruce Eckfeldt?

Bruce Eckfeldt is a consultant, coach, author, and speaker on organizational development and performance management. Originally an architect, he was a pioneer in the use of computer-aided design and 3D modeling. He later transitioned to software design and development, converting his spatial problem-solving skills to informational architecture and user experience design of digital software products.
Seeing the need for a more fast-paced and innovative approach to technology development, Bruce was an early adopter of Extreme Programming (an early Agile/Lean software methodology). He advanced the field as an early contributor to the Agile Conference and as the founder of Cyrus Innovation in 2003, one of the first Agile/Lean development consulting firms.

After more than a decade of developing products and coaching companies adopting Agile/Lean practices such as Extreme Programming, Scrum, Kanban, and other Lean methodologies, Bruce sold Cyrus in 2014 to focus on broader organizational development initiatives and served as interim CEO, COO, and other executive roles across a number of different high-tech and professional service companies leading these companies through periods of high growth and leadership transition.

Today, Bruce uses his experience as an entrepreneur and Inc 500 CEO to help high-growth companies scale more quickly with less drama. He is an expert in business and operational growth strategy, talent planning, performance coaching, and using Lean/Agile to achieve operational excellence.

Who is Tara Coomans?

As an award-winning, 20+ year veteran of communications, Tara Coomans is CEO and founder of Avaans PR where she leads remote team offices in New York, Denver, and Los Angeles. Avaans PR also services B2B and B2C companies including technology, socially conscious, health and wellness and lifestyle brands who want to develop trusted reputations and earn press coverage. Currently, Coomans serves on the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA) Marketing & Advertising Committee, and heads up the Speaker’s Bureau subcommittee and as Director of Operations for Social Media Club Los Angeles (SMCLA), as part of her 11 history local and global service with SMC. SMCLA is SMC’s chapter of the year. Coomans resides in Los Angeles’ South Bay area with her husband and two standard poodles, Stella & Zoe who are now “Zoom Famous” for their regular appearances in business meetings. She enjoys ocean activities including SCUBA and kayaking and she is also a good cook and an aspirational baker. Who is Amy Larson?

Amy is the Vice President of Marketing & PR at Simplifya, the cannabis industry’s leading operational and regulatory compliance software platform.

Prior to joining Simplifya, Amy serve as the Vice President of Marketing for COHN, and led its dedicated, award-winning cannabis division, COHNNABIS, which she helped to launch in 2016. Prior to pivoting to the cannabis industry, Amy spent 15+ years working in marketing and PR for the consumer, tourism, restaurant, retail, and real estate industries.

A regular speaker on the topics of integrated marketing and branding for the cannabis industry, Amy currently serves as the Chair of the National Cannabis Industry Association’s Marketing & Advertising Committee, and in 2017 led the development of a crisis communications manual designed specifically for use by cannabis industry businesses.

Since 2013, Amy has also served on the advisory board and as PR Advisor for the Colorado Freedom Memorial in Aurora, Colorado. The CFM is the only memorial of its kind in the country, dedicated to the more than 6,000 fallen Coloradans killed or missing in action in all wars and from all branches of service.

Amy is a proud #cannamom to two teenagers, and is working to normalize and destigmatize the plant, and to help make cannabis more approachable and relatable for moms, both as medicineand as an acceptable “recreational” alternative.
